Lactose is a naturally occurring simple carbohydrate, or sugar, found only in the milk of mammals. Chemically, lactose is the disaccharide of the simple sugars D-galactose and D-glucose.

EVATOSE SPRAY DRIED
EVATOSE Spray Dried is widely used as filler binders for direct compaction. Spray-dried lactose is a finely milled lactose monohydrate which is suspended in water, and spray-dried to give spherical agglomerates of crystalline lactose monohydrate in a matrix of amorphous lactose.
